Anthony Giannetti Has Diversified His Education

Anthony Giannetti has not been afraid to diversify his education. He has had a combined education in both the political field and the business field of study. And Anthony Giannetti has made his education his first professional priority by attending school continuously from earning his undergrad degree up to his professional degree.

Anthony Giannetti started his school career when he first attended the University of Pittsburgh Honors College for his politics and philosophy study. He put much hard work and dedication into his schooling and graduated cum laude in only three years time. And while he earned a bachelor’s degree in politics, it was only a year later, in 2009, that he earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Duquesne University.

Between 2005 and 2009, Anthony Giannetti had successfully earned two degrees – one degree in politics and one degree in the field of business. However, this was not the stopping point for Anthony Giannetti. Immediately after completing and earning his M.B.A., Anthony Giannetti started attending law school at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.

He is expected to complete both his Juris Doctor and his master’s in philosophy in 2013. So not only does Anthony Giannetti continue to diversify his education, he has worked hard to succeed in his education as well. While he continues to earn his next two degrees, Anthony Giannetti maintains a high GPA, which places him in the top 5% of his class.

Anthony Giannetti is a man driven to succeed. He has made sure to diversify his studies and has performed a number of internships and summer work positions to help him gain work experience in both the business and legal fields. Anthony Giannetti knows that his multiple degrees and diversified work experience will help him greatly when he has completely finished school and begins a solid professional career.

Anthony Giannetti Knows Experience is Important

It is no secret that the job market today is highly competitive. Many people may be competing for the same job whether they have years of experience or they are fresh out of college. The benefits of one versus the other are often dependent on the position the employer places in terms of value. One employer may want experience, while another may want someone fresh without years of experience, so they can mold the new employee without any established “bad habits.” 

Anthony Giannetti knows this is why it is important to not only get the education in the field of interest but to also have an expanded knowledge base and experience. Anthony Giannetti has dedicated nearly a decade to his university studies. He continued his education straight from earning his Bachelor of Arts degree to working on his Juris Doctor and master’s degree, which he is expected to complete in 2013. 

However, in terms of experience, Anthony Giannetti has been dedicating his summers to working either in the business field or in the legal field. He has held three positions in each area. However, since he is currently working on his Juris Doctor at the University at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, he has most recently been working in positions related in the legal field.

His first three positions were in the field of business, where he worked as a consultant for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. He was also an intern in the business field twice – once for Alcoa Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and once as a research intern for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. 

These three positions helped provide Anthony Giannetti with experience in the field of business, but it was his work as a law clerk and a certified legal intern that helped him gain experience in the legal field between the summer of 2010 and summer of 2012 in the Prisoners’ Legal Services, Allegheny County Public Defender Pre-Trial Division, and a private firm in Buffalo.

Anthony Giannetti Has Volunteered

It is always nice when we see that someone is willing to work for a cause to help other people. And there are a number of ways that people can help the communities around them. Most people help their communities by donating to charities or organizations. This is probably the easiest way that people, and businesses, help the communities around them. However, there are also people who like a more hands-on approach to helping people beyond simple monetary donations.

Anthony Giannetti is proud to have experience working as a volunteer. And in many ways the volunteer work that he has performed is more unique than some of the more common volunteer services people perform. Instead of working in a soup kitchen for the homeless on Thanksgiving or reading to the elderly, Anthony Giannetti had used his burgeoning professional skills when he volunteered in the fall of 2008 for the Community Energy Modeling Project.

The Community Energy Modeling Project was a project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In his volunteer work for the project, Anthony Giannetti used the MARKAL energy modeling software to conduct an energy assessment for a local municipality. Based on the assessment, Anthony Giannetti was able to provide recommendations on how the municipality could reduce energy consumption. 

It was less than a year after his work on the Community Energy Modeling Project that Anthony Giannetti performed his next act of volunteer work. In the spring of 2009, he volunteered for a project in Maquipucuna, Ecuador for Plascteco Microenterprise that produced thatching for low income housing from recycled plastic bottles. And the notion of using recycled bottles for building projects is not a new concept. 

There are many people driven to helping the world’s impoverished while being environmentally friendly. And in both acts of volunteer work, Anthony Giannetti has demonstrated his ability to help different societies in an environmentally friendly way. Anthony Giannetti is proud of the work he’s done and grateful for the unique experiences.

Anthony Giannetti Has Intern Experience

There are many people and professors that stress the importance of internships while you are a university or college student. Many people know that internships are more than just a way to open doors for professional connections; they also help get the experience you want and need in a field of work related to your desired field. Some internships are even competitive, so students need to demonstrate why they want or need a specific internship. 

Anthony Giannetti is no stranger to internships. He has performed several jobs during the summer months in-between his many years of schooling. For Anthony Gianetti, there was no question about the benefits his work was providing for his future. Every experience was something he could build upon and each new position and location helped him meet new people who could provide him with experience and tips for success.

Anthony Giannetti has experience working in two distinct fields. However, he also knows that there are times where they also cross as well. Anthony Giannetti has held positions in both the business field and the legal field. The first position he held as an intern occurred was working in the spring of 2009 at Alcoa Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Part of his responsibility in this position was to conduct analysis on consumer products and construct a marketing plan based on the results.

Anthony Giannetti was also labeled as a ‘research intern’ in the summer of 2009 when he worked for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. Here, he developed financial models and a research report on the Nitrogen and Phosphorous Nutrients Trading Markets. Anthony Giannetti was also a certified legal intern when he worked in the summer of 2011 for the Allegheny County Public Defender Pre-Trial Division in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this internship, Anthony Giannetti represented clients in preliminary hearings. 

Anthony Giannetti knows the benefits of internship work. He highly encourages others to become interns as students. They are great for experience and for learning skills relevant to a professional career.

Anthony Giannetti Has Legal and Business Experience

It is not uncommon for students to work while they attend school. Many students work to either put themselves through school, or work to get the ‘real world’ experience that many professionals claim helps differentiate students with experience against those with none. However, Anthony Giannetti knew that not all work experience is the same. He believed that by getting experience in the field, he would be able to start a career immediately after graduating.

Anthony Giannetti has prepared himself for a very successful career once he completes his schooling. He did this by taking a number of internships and summer work positions. Currently, Anthony Giannetti is working to complete his Juris Doctor and master’s degree in philosophy. He is expected to complete his degree in 2013.

Anthony Giannetti can point to six distinct positions that he has held during his years as a university student. He has had three positions that have provided him with business experience and three that have provided him with legal experience. His business positions occurred between the fall of 2008 and summer of 2009. He first worked as a consultant for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, then he worked as an intern at Alcoa Corporation. While there, he prepared life cycle analyses for specific consumer electronic products. His final business position was as a research intern for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.

Starting in 2010, Anthony Gianetti began his work in the legal field. His first position was with a law clerk for the Prisoners’ Legal Services in Buffalo, New York from 2010 to 2011. Then, in the summer of 2011, he worked as a certified legal intern for Allegheny County Public Defender Pre-Trial Division, and his last position was once again as a law clerk at a private firm in Buffalo during the spring and summer months of 2012.
